The tuba is the bass of the band
In brass bands, marching bands, polka, Dixieland and some film cues, the tuba plays the bass line. It is the lowest voice of the brass family, so it takes over the job a bass guitar or a double bass has in other styles. That is why people want it separate: a tuba player has to learn the bounce of the line, and a producer might want to swap it for a synth bass.
Use Without the tuba when you want to play the part yourself over a recording.
Tuba or bass guitar?
In a band that has both, a tuba and a bass guitar share the same low notes. The model listens to timbre, so a short, round tuba note is told from a plucked string by tone, but the two can bleed into each other. If you want the bass guitar, use the Bass Remover. For other low brass, there are the Trombone Extractor and the French Horn Extractor. A bassoon plays low too, so check the Bassoon Extractor if the sound is reedy. The whole family is on the Brass Extractor.
Low notes on small speakers
Tuba sits at the bottom of the frequency range. Listen on headphones, since laptop speakers can hide the very low notes you are checking.
FAQ
How much does it cost to extract a tuba?
1 credit for every minute of the song, shown on the button before it runs. New accounts get 5 credits. If a job fails, the credits come back.
Will the tuba file include a sousaphone?
A sousaphone is a tuba worn on the shoulder, and it has a very similar sound, so it will probably be picked up the same way.
What formats can I upload?
MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC up to 10 minutes. Each file downloads as an MP3 at 320 kbps.
