The service

Unmix Studio is a free tool that converts audio to MIDI in your browser. It is provided "as is". Automatic transcription makes mistakes, especially with full songs, so check the result before relying on it.

Your content and copyright

• Only convert audio you have the right to use — your own recordings, licensed material or public-domain music.
• You keep all rights to your audio and to the MIDI files you create. We don't receive or store them.
• A MIDI transcription of someone else's song is still their composition. Using it publicly or commercially may need the rights holder's permission.

Acceptable use

Don't try to disrupt the site, scrape it at scale, or use it to break the law.

Third-party components

Note detection uses Spotify's open-source Basic Pitch model (Apache-2.0). Playback uses the Salamander Grand Piano samples by Alexander Holm (CC BY 3.0). Unmix Studio is not affiliated with Spotify.

Credits, payments and refunds

Splitting uses credits: most tools use 1 credit per minute of song, and the price shows on the button before anything runs. Credits come in one-time packs (no subscription, nothing renews) and never expire. Payments are processed by Stripe. A split that fails gives its credits back automatically. You can ask for a refund of the credits you haven't used within 30 days of buying them; see the Refund Policy. What you may upload is in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service, including lost work or inaccurate transcriptions.
