Questions

Which stem splitter should I pick?

The Stem Splitter on the home page is the everyday choice: six parts (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and the rest) at 1 credit per minute. The 4-Stem Splitter gives vocals, drums, bass and the rest. The 5-Stem Splitter (Best Quality) uses a heavier model combination for vocals, bass, drums, piano and guitar, plus an instrumental and a leftover file, at 4 credits per minute (about $1.20 for a 4-minute song). The 7-Stem Splitter (Best Quality) adds strings, wind, lead and backing vocals and single drums, 20 files in all, at 6 credits per minute (about $1.80). The Every Instrument Splitter looks for up to about 50 kinds of instruments at 1 credit per minute.

Is it free to try?

Yes. Sign in with Google and you get 5 free credits, no card. Most tools use 1 credit per minute of song, so that covers one song up to 5 minutes. After that, a 4-minute song is about $0.30 with the smallest credit pack. Credits never expire.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Every tool works online in your web browser, and the splitting runs in the cloud. You need a free account to split a song.

What files can I upload and what do I get?

MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC, up to 10 minutes. Each part downloads as a 320 kbps MP3. Your song and its parts stay in your account for 30 days.

How long does a split take?

Usually 1 to 3 minutes. You can leave the page; the split carries on and shows up when you come back. If a split fails, the credits go back to your account.
